Data scientist & Machine Learning researcher

About Me

I am Elies Ramon, a data scientist and machine learning (ML) researcher. My Ph.D. was focused on customizing ML approaches (especially kernel methods) to biological datasets, which usually have some unique traits that require nuance. After defending my thesis, I worked for the Catalan Institute of Oncology analyzing health-related data, including patients records and “omic” data from biological samples. Besides that, I have developed several R packages, both as part of my job and as a personal project. Some of these packages include kerntools and kernInt.
